Intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) is an imaging technology that lets doctors visualize blood vessels from the inside out. Boston Scientific asked us to make a complex technology easy to use. We made it small, light and easy. We used aluminum to reduce weight and we made the room connectors easy to find. Boston Scientific made iLab compatible with Philips, Siemens and GE Healthcare imaging systems. We made it easy to connect to them. iLab started as a cart and grew into a trusted technology platform.

We developed the iLab cart as an adoption tool. No one expected it to last. iLab showed everyone the benefits of mobility - device sharing, control over workflow and lower procedure costs. The cart became a core product offering for Boston Scientific. By putting iLab on wheels we helped patients get back on their feet.
